Reasons why i think Oscar is despised by some Mexicans.

He is smart

He is good looking

He fought for the U.S...........even if he wanted to fight for Mexico, they would tell him to **** off cause he aint a "real" Mexican.

He uses his boxing skills instead of fighting face first

He is successful

He is ****** rich

After reading his book I remembered why I liked the guy in the first place back in the day. Yeah he's pretty rich now a days, but he's done some good stuff for his community in East L.A. I think that **** saying he's not Mexican enough is ridiculous. I wish we wouldn't see fights like Pac vs him and he does seem to get in the way of legitimate fights, but I still respect the guy from where he's come from and what he's made himself today. Honestly a pretty good role model for the Latino youth. I know he's made some mistakes, but who doesn't.

NO your wrong the only and single reason mexicans dont like De la hoya is cuase he beat Chavez when he was past his prime... and thats the only reason.... They hated him ever since...
