thus far, Antonio Margarito. But if pac pulls off the upset at the end of the year, he is easily fighter of the year.

I can't believe how much credit Margarito gets for knocking out a guy he already stopped 3 years ago and losing to Cotto, who isn't even a spectacular boxer, before wearing him down in round 11. I would consider Calzaghe having a better year if he beats Roy and Pavlik a better year if he beats B-Hop.

You all act like Cotto is a great fighter or something

            right now

            1. Pacquiao
            2. Pavlik
            3. Calzaghe
            4. Margarito
Remember im not talking who will be fighter at the end of the year, just who is at this point.

If you want to compare Pavlik to Marg at this point, i think wins over cintron and cotto makes taylor and locket look small.
As for JC a win over an old Hop doesnt do much for me when your talking fighter of the year level.

As it stands i would say Marg but i dont think he will fight again this year so he wont get it, Pac is up there too, if he somehow beats De la Hoya its a dead cert but i think thats unlikely.

Dark horse come the end of the could be Wlad. If Pavlik stops hop he may get it.

              LOL!..

damn bro..Cotto ****ed ya mammy or something?..

              Chill out!...

People are entitled to opinions here as well as you..

to some (including myself) Cotto is a great boxer..well-rounded and was a great champ..

Now Margs did what 32 fighters failed to do...and He KO'd a Knockout artist that has some serious ****..Kermy might be a B or even C level fighter...But he has the power to knock a horse out cold!...

              Margarito deserves his credit..

I say it's a toss up between Margarito, Vazquez, or Pacquiao!

if/when Calslappy beats Roy, he would have a strong argument with Hopkins and Jones on his ledger for 08...

its up to Manny really. If he fights a close competitive fight or wins in Dec its his by a faaaaaaaar margin.

right now its between him and Margarito. Both beat title holders in utter beatdowns, both beat elite fighters at their division in competitive fights. Slight edge given to Manny IMO because he moved up to beat his beltholder while Margarito beat a guy he already beat

Maybe Manny Pacquiao who has 2 good wins so far against Diaz and JMM.

                    Any thoughts.
Depends on if Manny beats Oscar and if (and how) Tony beats Clottey

                      Margarito easily

Cintron-Cotto and maybe Clottey(?) he's cleaning out the division. I c he likes beating people with "C" in their names, pun intended.

Calz a distant second if he beats Jones.

Hopkins-Jones is great names on resume.
