Hopkins was beginning to fad badly, late, as evidenced by the extended break he took after the "low blow" claim (wasn't even close to being low). I still can't believe the ref let him get away with that ****. Still, Hopkins is tough, smart, will do whatever it takes to win, and it's no surprise the fight was as ugly as it was, or that Hopkins fans (and Hopkins himself) still claim he was the "real winner" of that fight. If he hadn't gotten the breather from the ref, I think it's possible he'd have gassed badly enough to be stopped. Maybe not likely, but a possibility, which is why I have Pavlik by late stoppage in their upcoming fight. His workrate is similar to Calzaghe's, but he throws nearly every punch with serious intent. He's big, strong, young, in fantastic shape, and while not necessarily an imaginative boxer, he's steady, consistant, decently skilled, and has a heart the size of a VW. I'll eat a pair of my own undershorts if he doesn't stop Bernard after the 8th. The one caveat to this is that if Hopkins gets himself disqualified (which is a distinct possibility...he'd probably elect this course and end the fight on his feet rather than be stopped by a "white boy"), then all bets are off.
Why is Calzaghe hardest fights over Old Men (Eubank and Hopkins)

It would be a win win IMO. It would be sad and I would be pissed but I do see the reasoning behind it. I hope this doesn't happen and I doubt it would but I see reasons for it.
I like both guys and it will be hard to see them face each other. I have it PAV by UD maybe a late TKO/stoppage but i'm leaning more towards the UDComment

Calzaghe himself hype Kessler up, how ****ing funny.
This was before he fought Hopkins
This is after he fought Hopkins
He said himself that Hopkins was his hardest fight and that he was hurt against old man Hopkins, why Kessler was hurt from a Calzaghe body shot which says a lot.
Joe Calzaghe won a split decision after being knocked down by Bernard Hopkins in the opening round in Las Vegas
THE REASON LACY OR KESSLER IS NOT CALZAGHE BEST WINS ARE SIMPLE. THEY WERE UNPROVEN FIGHTERS WHO HAVE NOT BEATEN NO GOOD FIGHTER. BUT OLD PROVEN MEN SUCH AS EUBANK AND HOPKINS BOTH GAVE HIM HIS HARDEST FIGHT. THERE IS A REASON WHY
The only people that think Kessler is good are Zaghe fans..If Kessler was so good he wuld have beat Zaghe, because Hopkins pretty much did at 43 years of age.
Lacy and Kessler both have beat nobody to even be considered good.Comment
