Versus comes back to live boxing Sept. 25

    September 25
    At TBA

(Versus): Paul Williams vs. TBA, 10 rounds, junior middleweights

Cristobal Arreola vs. Israel Garcia, 10 rounds, heavyweights

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like Versus might become a major player in boxing now that they don't have that snake Arum ripping them and the fans off.

Plus they have the Contender also which looks to be the best season yet

Wait....if it's 10 rounds and at 154, does that mean Williams-Collazo could still happen at 147 in november? Arrerola wants to fight 2 times more this year, what about Williams?

For a non title fight it doesn't make sense for Williams to sweat down to 147. This is a good idea for him since his last fight gave him less than three minutes of work.

I think Versus and we fans will be better off NOT doing business with Arum.

It's much better to watch a bona fide top heavyweight like Chris Arreola than the likes of Tye Fields.

If they're dealing with Goossen now, we'll likely see his other heavyweights such as Tony Thompson, James Toney, Eddie Chambers, and Travis Walker.

I just thought about how I have to hear Walley Matthews probably ***** about Williams being to tall for his weightclass and how Arrerola needs to get in better shape. Maybe I'll watch it with mute on.

I wish Versus would replace Wally Matthews - he's terribly annoying.

I've been hoping for there to be a median between FNF and HBO. Shobox is the only thing close to it. Maybe Versus can step up and show some interesting cards. I like this one.

                    I agree

The last deal they had for boxing was an exclusive deal with Arum, now they will be playing the field and getting a much better product.

Goes to show that Versus was committed to having boxing on their network, after those 2 years of mostly dog ****. They come back even more devoted since the Contender series will be a pretty big deal, considering they outbid ESPN for it.
