My thoughts?Ok, Firstly I want to say; Yes I am a Brit, But no I do not swing of Amir Khans nuts. So believe me when I say, I am pretty unbiased in this post.
First off. His opposition:
His opposition hasn't been great, But not **** either. Most of his best wins, are over guys who have seen better days and/or come from lower weight classes (Snt Claire, Gomez, Limond) however, isn't it the same with most prospects? Test them against some experienced verterans before throwing them in the deep end. With that said, He needs to step up soon, but this Presoctt guy doesn't seem to be a step in the right direction. He has a good record, and looks like a puncher but a closer look shows he has only fought about 4 opponents with winning records. One of which (10-0-1) he only took an SD over.
Now, His main weakness. His chin:
I think we are all in agreement that Khans chin is subpar. However, does that really mean he will never become a champ? In a world where we have 2 undisputed champions with weak chins (Haye, Klitschko) I don't think it does. But then again, consider Oscar De La Hoya, who is viewed as having a great chin, he was dropped by smaller guys early in his career. Could it be that making the 135 pound limit may be affecting Khans chin? Maybe, We will have to see. As of now, I say his chin is a real weakness and he needs to protect it if he plans to get far.
Defense:
So far, his defense has been pretty much aweful. He should not have been caught as much by guys like Gomez and Snt Claire imo, But after watching some footage of Khan with his new trainer he appears to be fixing it up. I hope so, because if he doesn't I don't see him doing all that well
Overall;
I think Khan is a good prospect. A very flawed prospect, But most the flaws can be ironed out (The exception being his chin). But has shown great handspeed and good accuracy with his shots (See the stoppage of Graham Earl, he was very precise with his shots there) but he too often gets to involved in close and has a terrible inside game. Early against Gomez he moved well, threw fast combos and was looking great, But after dropping him he got too involved in close and ended up in trouble.
His new trainer seems to working on some of his flaws with him, So i look forward to seeing Khans next fight (But i will not be paying for it)
Thoughts?
He's a khunt.Comment

You gotta remember that
1) In the Limond fight, he was extremly troubled in round 6. The commentators were moaning that the ref should of stopped the fight. Khan was very dazed and badly hurt. Khan should of been TKOed because he was unfit to continue, however he continued and stomped Limond. Good win but highlights his chin.
2) Gomez win.. Prior to the fight, Gomez hadn;t fought in what? 2 or 3 years? Still Gomez at times troubled Khan. Gomez was hungry but still was very rusty, I disagree a experienced and fresh Gomez beats Khan, but I believe he would trouble Khan greatly more and possibly a 60/40 win in Khans favour.
3) Kristenjan win. nothing to say, good win.Comment

I'd pick Khan to be honest.
He's the more talented and someone is getting knocked out regardless. Khan would have to take him out in the first four. I think he would. That would be a great fight to bet real money on.Comment
