Honestly, that goes into CREDIT not being given. Floyd was NEVER given any credit. He beat names, NAMES that everyone said was gonna K.O Floyd. Floyd beat em and didn't get any respect. Everyones a bum once Floyd beats them. I just wish they gave credit to the natural 140 pounder for beating the names at 147 and DLH at 154Comment

1. This is a bait thread...but fair enough.See I appreciate defensive counter punchers. A fighter with good foot work. One that could throw a good jab and defend himself NICELY with his back against the ropes. A good accurate puncher who is also a body body puncher and knows when/when not to fight on the inside. So I ask (Mainly, Mexicans) what do ya have against these type of fighters?
Like for example...many can agree Margarito is an en exciting fighter but I'd say he is too basic and limited for my liking. I'm not so much into fighters that get jizzed all over the face just so they can jizz back.
So yes...whats there to hate about skillful fighters like Floyd? Or your boy Solis
2. Boxing is the sweet science. It's the art of hitting and not getting hit. Not getting hit, is integral to boxing. Anything else is simply brawling or just plain punching.
3. Most people don't get that because they either haven't boxed, fought, or have some idiotic machismo thing going on in their heads.
4. Brawling and boxing are both valid expressions of the art known as boxing. I know this seems to contradict point two, but if you think about it-it makes sense.Comment

I agree, but some boxers take it to another level by (as one poster said) treating it as if were a game of "tag you're it" Some boxers are so focused on the 'not getting hit" part, that they tend to abandon thier offense all together.1. This is a bait thread...but fair enough.

Floyd would get more respect if he just fought the fights people wanted to see.Honestly, that goes into CREDIT not being given. Floyd was NEVER given any credit. No Cotto, no Margarito, no Williams, no Mosley.
But he did fight a murderers row of Sosa, Ndou, Corley, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, DLH and Hatton.
Everyone knows those were much more dangerous fights.
But I get what you're saying though.
Rocky Marciano and Sven Ottke pound for pound the best ever!
