So why does a huge percentage of boxing fans hate Out-Boxers??

See I appreciate defensive counter punchers. A fighter with good foot work. One that could throw a good jab and defend himself NICELY with his back against the ropes. A good accurate puncher who is also a body body puncher and knows when/when not to fight on the inside. So I ask (Mainly, Mexicans) what do ya have against these type of fighters?

So yes...whats there to hate about skillful fighters like Floyd? Or your boy Solis

I dont mind a defensive fighter who uses his defense in order to set up offense, but when a defensive/safety-first minded fighter backpeddles, and resorts to flicking jabs and weak limp wrist punches for the majority of the fight in hopes of a decision win, im sorry, that to me is not boxing!

Well, technically speaking, it is boxing because a "punch" is landed. However, I'm not really in favor of "playing tag" as I call it. I prefer to see guys actually hit each other with skillful powerful punches. Love taps don't cut it for me.

You're talking about casual fans. which sport do you think casual fans would rather watch? football or flag-football?

You can be defensive and skillfull and STILL be exciting.
