    well?

mexicans have a bigger fan base especially in the united states.

would he have been more popular if he was mexican instead of puerto rican?

would he be considered greater since there are more mexican boxing fans singing his praises?

        i'm a tito fan.

i know how popular he was.

but there's no denying how much more mexican and mexican american fans there are than puerto rican fans.

if pacquiao was mexican he'd be off the charts more popular. at least in america where there's a larger mexican-american population than filipino-american.

mexican-americans make up the bulk of ppv buys. you and i both know this.

Trinidad is a helluva lot more popular in PR than he would ever be in Mexico. Boxers are only sports stars in Mexico these days but Cotto and Trinidad are national icons.

Yeah that'd be a good analogy if Manny was having a hard time making 140...

                    chavez was a national icon.

mexico is larger than puerto rico. puerto rico isn't even a country.

plus there are more mexican-american fans in the u.s. than puerto ricans.
