He is a Margarito fan, that happens to think Floyd would beat him. How is that a bad? In a fight between Floyd and Tony I would think Tony has a good punchers chance and would root for him, but would definitely agree floyds skill and movement make him the favorite. Being rational about the possible outcome of a fight is a good thing, but rationality is not something you excel at.

Yes Clottey is a champion but he doesnt deserve a rematch like Paul Does.
Paul will claim welterweight supremacy is he fights Margs and margs is scared of that.Comment

ya i pretty much agree with you now. i keep forgetting the 4 mill offer i guess., but i also wonder if goossen really can come up with that number cause what is paul gonna make? lol there wouldn't be much left. i agree about clottey, nobody wants to see his ass fight and marg beat him already. that's arum's greed cause he has both fighters and will be sole promoter. i don't think arum has the confidence in tony that he will beat williams in a rematch., hell we all know he expected cotto to beat tony, he don't want to lose marg and cotto in back to back fights. **** it then, let them fight in november and let clottey fight berto.
I mean if he beats Margarito he will fight nothing but bigger draws from there on out.Comment

Arum cant be blamed for holding this up. The only reason Margs fought PWill the first time is that Margs told Arum he wanted the fight cause the money was right. Back in the day, boxers chose their fights and the promoters just promoted. Now they match-make also. Match-making and promoting are a conflict of interest to boxing fans. Cant seriously promote a fight you dont want your fighter to be in.Comment

honestly man?
I never thought Bob liked Tony and his team. Why? Because for so long Bob had the joy of getting his Mexican fighters from Beltran and the way it was structured he made a mint off of them. With guys like Tony and Martin Castillo, two Mexicans champs not managed by Beltran, he had to actually share in the wealth. It's no secret he promoted the likes of Morales, Castillo, Arce very well while did little for guys like Gallito and Tony.
so IMO he went on auto pilot with Tony thinking as long as he had a champ at 147 in his pocket he can dangle it at the big name there whether it be Floyd or Zab or Shane or even his own fighter Cotto. Problem is that when Tony lost to PWill (a fight Goossen not Arum promoted and did very well) all of sudden there went his champ in the hole. So now for once he actually had to promote Tony and try to build him back into a champ again. Thats why he got the support slot for Cotto Mosley. Bob figured if Tony looks like a beast in beating Johnson, HBO would say he is back (they did) and Tony would be a factor at 147 immediately after losing.
so Bob is now forced to promote the one fighter he thought he never had to.
Have been saying this for YEARS but the people that only started following Margarito in 2006/2007 didnt realise or know this, Arum never liked Margarito or promote him the way he did his other mexican fighters.
He had so many fighters at that time he never paid Rito any attention, But people are saying "Oh he got Margarito in there with Cotto".....But it was because he had NO choice.Comment

the money was right for a Cotto fight as well.
he wanted the fight because Bob put options on a Cotto fight for Tony. This had nothing to do with money more than not wanting to be locked in to BobComment
