    Dimitrenko vs Klitschko

Dimitrenko is the likely opponent for wladimir after he faces Povetkin. He will become the #1 contender in the IBF and WBO should wlad beat Povetkin. So, since this is a likely matchup, who would win? Don't automatically vote for wlad without seeing Dimitrenko in action first cuz he is a very good boxer and I think he'd win a decision.

    Wladimir Klitschko 49-3, 6'6", 245 LBS

Im not sure about dims chin and punching power,,but I like his combination punching. he also seems not that hard to hit. I'd have to favor wlad by kayo. hard to gauge dim as he hasnt really fought any solid guys yet. there is potential for an upset though

Wlad will get hit more by Dimitranko than he usually does, but I'd still favor him to KO the challenger

I think Wlad wins by TKO if it happens soon, If it happens 12-18 Monthes from now i think Dimitrenko has a good chance of upsetting Klitschko.

I cant comment that much on this Dimitrenko guy as i have only seen 2 of his fights but from what i have seen he has the standard eastern euro stand up style he seems to throw a few good combos he doesnt seem anything special, I see a boring Wlad UD but Dimitrenko has a chance of getting a KO win.

I know the triangular theory doesn't hold gold in boxing but I found this little tid-bit interesting: Dimitrenko ko'd the only guy(Timo Hoffman) to go 12 rounds with Vitali Klitschko. Timo also interestingly holds wins over Corey Sanders and Ross Purrity. Wlad has also never fought anyone taller than him so that will be something he'll need to adjust to.

IMO Dimitrenko has all the tools and mentality to beat Wlad. He's taller and heavier than Wlad, yet athletic, in great shape, with a stamina of a horse. His jab is on par with Wlad's, except he doesn't use it as often. He's got good inside game, which is a big advantage over Wlad, likes to go to the body, which is something that Wlad's prone to, and has a mean streak to him, which is always a big threat to Wlad. Add to that the fact that he likes to punch with combination and loves to mix it up with the opponents. I'm not saying that he WILL defeat Wlad but out of the bunch of today's contenders, I think he has the best tools and mentality.

What's gonna happen in 12-18 months? Klitschko gets old? Dimitrenko becomes much better?...

Klitschko gets older, Maybe starts to slip a bit, In the meanwhile Dimitrenko gets more experienced and will improve.
