yep "saving boxing" lol THAT'S why Oscar has taken so long to find an opponent, not because he can't find anyone to fight

but because he's trying to build up his fight as much hype as possible and save the sport at the same time .. who said Multi-tasking was easy?

and would a Sergio Mora/Forrest vs Oscar De La Hoya fight really "save boxing"

    no, not IMO.

this article was correct in calling Oscar's opponent selection a soap opera, but at this point I think you could accurately call it a circus with all the ridiculous updates we've been getting such as "week after Cotto-Marg opponent will be announced" or "Manny wants to use 8 oz gloves with Oscar wearing 10 oz"

I am sure everyone will agree with me,

I have had enough of De La Hoya. I might go rewatch some of Oscars big fights to remind me how he used to be a real warrior, Now he is a *****..

I think Oscar was always a *****, & has been posturing like this throughout his career.

He never fought Winky (though everyone else did).
He ruined the biggest fight of the last ten years (with Trinidad)
He only fought Vargas & Mayorga AFTER they had been badly beaten.
He retired, then moved up to 154 to avoid facing Mosley a second time.....but then fought him after Molsey lost twice to Forrest.
He never rematched Whitaker, but rematched a shot, undersized JC Chavez.
He had a sparring session with Bernard Hopkins (which cost us $60 a pop), & then got his ass out of there when the heat was turned up.

Mora barely beat him and hits like a butterfly, there is no excitement whatsoever in any of these fights. DLH vs Margarito, DLH vs Williams, DLH vs Cotto, that's it!!! Nothing else one of those three. Stop playing games and choose one of them!
but rather than demand "just a great" main event, why not demand a great PPV card from top to bottom? For the money it will cost to make DLH-Pac a reality, you can best believe the undercard will similar to The World A-Waists or Floyd-Hatton - both u/c's ******.

If they give me 2-3 u/c fights that I'd actually give a **** about (say, David Haye in the co-feature and Gerry Penalosa-Abner Mares, or even Penalosa-Jhonny Gonzalez II), then I honestly couldn't care less who Oscar fights in the main go for his final bout. I almost don't care as it is.

Margarito can't even sell 500,000 ppv buys on his own. Lets face it fellas, there's no Ali, no Tyson, and no Oscar thats currently fighting right now. The three of them brought boxing to mainstream, so we all should be fortunate Oscar is still in the game.
                  i agree even though dlh vs pacquiao is insane;
but dlh himself came from the lighter weights,
so why not ? he is naturally bigger than pac but
in terms of money, pacquiao would be losing a lot of money
if he misses this opportunity, he is being guaranteed 10mil+
c'mon he can fight dlh and then retire if he wants and just ****in' chill
for the rest of his life in manila, oscar is the haymaker right now, who will win
the winning ticket, why hasn't cotto called dlh out ???
