Chris John steps up! Kind of....Yeah he does. Wow.

According to boxrec, on October 24 Chris John goes to japan and fights The Ring #4 featherweight in the world and 27-0-2 Hiroyuki Enoki. I'm not sure what Enoki did to get that spot (Before anyone jumps the gun, he's always been there and isn't with golden boy jackasses). My guess would be beating Nadal hussein, but he hasn't been that relavent.

Enoki seems like a solid fighter. Much better then the Zaiki Takemoto's of the world, who Enoki actually has a win over. Still surprised John is stepping up to this kind of person. Rocky Juraez might have been better, but who knows since I haven't seen Enoki.

    Good match up regradless

It is a pretty big fight in the Asian fight scene. Enoki has beat a number of solid Japanese guys and has been the Japanese featherweight champ for a minute and the OPBF (asian regional belt) for a little while. His last fight was a draw with an undeafeted fighter in Takahiro Aoh which was a WBA eliminator, Aoh is fighting Oscar Larios next.

It's in Japan too, just like John's last fight was in Mexico.
We'll see on paper this looks pretty good.
They serve awesome enoki at this Italian place by my place.

Japanese do a good job of covering fights. I keep meaning to explore the asian streams for fights.

I usually download them the next day since I'm to lazy to wake up at 4 to watch the fights.

Joe Koizumi is one of my favorite boxing writers, easily one of the best around.

Doesn't matter, he is still a punk. He said no to a fight in the US for a fight in Thailand that didn't even come about.

Also I don't put too much faith on what boxrec says....

Chris John and Zsolt Erdei are the two most protected champions right now. They're hiding behind their belts.

Yeah and I read he does a lot if not all of this for free. Had a normal job as an engineer and did the fights because he loved them not for fame, glory or money.

I always enjoy his reports from Japan as well.
