who does consider Hatton the best fighter at 140lbs

who does consider Hatton the best fighter at 140lbs cause i dont personally i think there are too many new champions around for him to make that assumption i dont see how either of the Champions can make a claim at being the man in the division

who is/was Urango ? Castillo was shot to **** lets be real he could of or maybe should of lost to Ngoudjo pre Hatton and he was beaten the other week by Sebastian Lujan a guy who Jamie Moore handled with ease and i dont consider Moore anything more than a British ,European ,Commonwealth level of fighter

i just dont see Hatton as the best 140lbs fighter out there at the moment he may well be but he has not proved it since he beat Kostya Tszyu cause he has been fighting sub par oposition like Urango and a named but shot fighter in Castillo and the rest of his time has been spent fighting WW

i think Holt ,Malignaggi, Bradley can make a valid claim that Hatton is no longer the best LW out there because the face of the division has changed so much for that to be the case he needs to go out and prove he is that man once again for me

i know most will probably disagree with me but that is how i feel ,if anything Hatton is the name at 140 but that is where it ends for me

I think he probably is the best at 140. It is a piss poor division though.

He is the best until someone proves they are better by beating him IMO

He is the man at 140 until he loses at 140, he won that right from Kostya, he faced WBA titlest right after in Maussa moved up and then came back down to beat the IBF champ in Urango. He has fought reasonable competition at 140 and is THE man there until beaten.

Hatton definitely. I really do think Bradley beating witter was a fluke(i think he may have overtrained) so, Hatton, Witter, Bradley, Malignaggi, Holt, Urango, and Kotelnik are the top dogs.

Yup. He might not be the best in the division but he is the world champ, and until someone beats him or he retires he will remain the world champion.

He's been the man at 140 for a couple years now. He'll get beat for the spot by Paulie tho cuz he don't bring it like he did a few years back.

I just hope he doesn't run from big fights too much, he has done pretty well so far after and including Castillo, his level of opposition has been reasonable.. I mean he has been fighting recognizable names hasn't he? At least he wants to be seen and unlike many of his fellow European boxers he wants to get big fights. After Mag he should prolly go Torres or something the like. He is what 29? He still has another year or 2 at the highest level, so go make the best of it. As far as being the best only time will say.

Well I agree with you that they can make a claim. The truth is Hatton is the champion in that division and he has yet to be dethroned. Paulie Malignaggi is one of the top contenders in the division, if Hatton can beat him he proves he is still the man.
I think Tim Bradley has the tools to be a very difficult fight for Hatton, but unless they lace them up and fight, Hatton is the champ.
I dont see Holt being much of a threat to those other three, though I am sure some disagree.
Anyway yeah he is the "name", but also the linear guy. Its cool, he and Paulie are gonna settle it soon.
