I agree Kessler would find Bernard a nightmare. Who doesn't?
Yeah he gets pretty close. He also hunts down Taylor and tried to be agressive on Bernard. I don't think he was hit and run on Trinidad either. Winky really never really "runs"

Calzaghe aint as good as Hopkins so i dont see how you come to the conclusion he would have stayed undefeated i know you think Calzaghe is a better fighter than Hopkins but that just goes to show how delusional you are when you view there recent fight , most people come to the conlusion that Hopkins lack of activity was why he did not win the fight and that was clearly due to age

but you think that is a sufficicent reason to think Calzaghe beats him in his prime aswell when he stuggled badly enough with the 43 year old version

that is an unconventional point if view to say the least
You didn't mention Jones in your post. If you are not including him then it is not really that surprising that people would pick Calzaghe to beat them.

I think that most people would pick Calzaghe to beat everyone on Bernard's resume. So it's not that unconventional, especially as Calzaghe is 8lbs heavier and so DLH and Trinidad would have to put on more weight, which would not suit them.

But if you are including Jones then that's different...

I don't think I am delusional. Calzaghe is a pretty tough prospect for anyone. How do you beat a guy who always comes at you, always throws more shots and who you can't stop? It's hard?

I think Calzaghe was the reason that Bernard did so little in that fight, you have to admit no-one ever pressurised Bernard in that way before. Hop's game has always been to wreck his opponent's style by shutting them down when they come at him, making them cautious and then mauling them lunging in with short punches. Against Joe he had so much to worry about neutralising that there was really very little he could do in the way of attack, and I don't see it being different at any point in their careers.

Tarver would be a difficult fight (if Tarver did actually fight!) and Winky wouldn't get humiliated, but I wouldn't give him much hope, he does too little for one thing. Trinidad and ODLH would be too small. I'd give Kessler as good a chance against Hop as any of them against Joe, think of the Jones fight, the way Jones stayed on the outside and darted in and out, Kessler could do something similar. I could imagine Bernard mauling Kessler to death too though.

Thats right. I think Joe Calzaghe is the best boxer of all time, and Kessler is second.
