It honestly should. Before Pav dominated him via KO, the whole world was watching Miranda calling him the "hardest puncher" in the MW division. Pav took his best shots and closed the deal like he usually does. Saying, now that he has been beaten twice since, that he is irrelevant, is just not right. Give Kelly his dues as well as Miranda's.

Sadly, oftentimes a fighter is viewed as only being as good as his last fight, and in Miranda's last fight, he looked TERRIBLE.

If he can turn it around, Pavlik may get more credit for him, but right now the majority view on him is that he was overrated from the start.

Edison Miranda (KOed by Abraham in 4)
Jermain Taylor (Edged out close wins over Spinks and Ouma, lost to Hopkins twice)
        Gary Lockett (WHO?)

Pavlik is calling out Calzaghe but he needs to worry about Abraham, not Calzaghe. Abraham has 7 X more title defenses than Pavlik and has beaten better fighters than him but he is keeping his mouth shut which is why I have great respect for him.

what fight is ur avatar from. i dont recall him getting that beat up... was it from the 2nd or first jermain fight?!?

its funny that when jc faced b-hop, everyone said, who has b-hop beat, he lost to jermain twice....

then when pavlik calls out calzaghe, its who has pavlik beat? oh jermain taylor? he lost to hopkins twice!

Pavlik is a good fighter. His biggest wins are his most recent ones (sans Lockett which meant nothin), but he's capable of takin any MW out there. I wanna see the AA fight, and I think Kelly can edge that one too.

but shouldnt pavlik get credit for putting maranda in this funk. i mean he was hitting pavlik with bombs and pav was walking right through them and landing even harder bombs. i dont know maybe im wrong but i kinda hand pav atleast some of the credit of the way miranda has been fighting.

I can see that, but unless Miranda comes back to be successful against good competition again, there will always be the argument that he was never great to begin with.

you do make a point. but i mean there is no one in the div but taylor who he beat and is moving up in weight and AA which didnt pav try to get a fight with?? i know they went after alot of possible fights and had to settle with hopkins bc its a good name and the only fight that was out there.
