The strength of Calzaghe's resume does not rest solely on one fighter. That is the difference.

Nor should it, he's 36 years old.

The knock on Calzaghe is that at his age, with the length of his career, his resume includes too few top fighters who were in their prime when he beat them. And to top it off, he's not doing anything to change that perception with his next fight.

Pavlik's resume is shorter and does not have as many big names on it, but he's 10 years younger than Joe.

I agree. It wasn't me knocking it. I was just pointing out that when you are young and with really just one big name, thats why you get questioned. Pavlik still has more to prove, but he's doing real good so far.

Calzaghe is ten years older than Pavlik. And Pavlik has Edison Miranda.

Agreed. Kelly's got a lot of hype right now, and while so far his resume is short he's done everything he's supposed to do.

But Pavlik is still young enough to avoid the same accusations being launched at Calzaghe, as long as he gets out there and fights the Abrahams, Kesslers, and Calzaghes (if he'll have him).

This Hopkins fight will be interesting but is a throwaway IMO, in terms of his resume. Beating him doesn't mean as much as it did even three years ago, unless he can do it decisively, which is near impossible against Bernard.

Miranda's name doesn't really add much to Pavlik's strength-of-schedule anymore, if you know what I mean.
