hence why bernard is overrated and tua is not.

if tua fought some cruiserweight greats and whooped them he might have had a chance to be overrated too.

tua was top 10 for what 8 straight years?

he beat how many future and former world champs? 4? 5?

not a bad career for a 5'9 fat boy.

no. he just beat them at the wrong times.

ruiz , maskaev and rahman won belts AFTER getting KTFO by tua.

why couldn't lennox take tua lightly and not trained for him.........

sucks having lennox as king in your prime.

byrd was a good guy. what do you have against him?

he was very skilled and fast in his prime.

you can't compare him to ali , louis , frazier , etc.

name one guy in this era right now that would be comparable to those guys?

greg page or earnie shavers would be champion if they were in their prime right now.

I lean towards Calzaghe, but I would be cheering for Benn because he's one of my 3 favourites of all time (after Hamed and Tyson). I have an old VHS tape that was released when Benn was still a prospect, and it's very similar to early Tyson. He was usually shorter than his opponent, but would walk out and come at them with power punches, and often finish it in the first round. I suppose one difference is that Benn's head movement improved with age, whereas Tyson's got worse.

I find it hard to count out Benn against anyone. The heart showed against McClellan was out of this world. It's true that he was stopped against Watson and Eubank, but if we're talking about on his very best night, then I don't see him getting stopped unless he is out cold. I think that he keeps coming at Calzaghe for 12 full rounds and gives him a hell of a fight.

If you look at this fight, Benn only lands one punch, and the guy goes down and his legs just don't work anymore. Calzaghe has a very good chin, but that is the kind of power that gives you a chance against anyone in history.
