Technically, it's all fair. But there's no class in that ****. I remember Hurtado whackin Pea when he reached out to touch gloves in that fight. It's shady, but I guess a fighter's gotta be ready for anything in there.

The rules do indiciate that you have to protect yourself at all times but that was completely unsportmanlike.

in a sport where your objective is to knock the guy unconscious or make him quit with your fists. there is no room for any lapses in concentration. There are no friends inside that ring and a good trainer always tells his fighter "**** that touching gloves ****, unless the ref makes you do it". Even when your'e training for a fight, as you get closer to fight time, a good trainer will make you stop touching gloves in sparring. I feel bad for the kid because of his health but he should've ****ing known better...
