Taylor's the most obvious name opponent for Kessler to get U.S. exposure at the moment, but Taylor's not in a position where he would take that fight. After Lacy, maybe, but it's also possible that he will be chasing the winner of Froch/Pascal for the WBC belt. Kessler may have to wait for the smoke to clear from that fray to see who his opponent would be... better for him if Taylor comes out on top, as it would be more lucrative and give him the widest exposure.

I think Bute could give Kessler some U.S. exposure as well.

Everyone is dead on about Kess dropping the Miranda fight being a bad career move, as that was exactly the win he needed to get some buzz stateside. Look what it did for Abraham. Clearly a loss to Calzaghe, despite being on HBO, hasn't done any huge favors for Kessler over here.

Then you've got the up and comers like Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell to consider; within the next six months we should see each of them in bigger fights.

What about Alan Green? He may be the perfect candidate for Kessler right now... Green's been inactive for a while and has been making ******ed business moves, so it's time he make a smart one. He needs a shot at a title, and Kessler needs to fight a top 10 American. Perfect matchup. I think Kessler handles him and then can go after Jermain or Kelly.

first of all, i don't hate the guy i'm just interested as to why he is seen as such a legend without having actually achieved much...

he beat mundine, beyer and andrade, he has only fought outside of denmark twice and one was against calzaghe!!!

he's been in some very good fights, but no classics
his skills aren't extraordinary... (strong with good basic skills which can be exposed by an actual skilled fighter such as calzaghe)

i just want to know what makes him your favourite fighter over other fighters who are better than him in every single way

I have said this many times before Calzaghe fans will hype Kessler to make him look great hence it makes Joe look even better. They are hoping Kessler become a great fighter hoping that it will make Calzaghe look better in the future. Calzaghe style is suited for Kessler, that was a easy fight for Calzaghe prime or no prime. Kessler was hurt by a body shot for Calzaghe that pretty much sums it up
