Malignaggi will pose no problems for Ricky Hatton.

I am in agreement with many people on this board that Ricky Hatton has been very unimpressive in his last two performances, I was there live to watch Mayweather knock him out in a fight which - say what you want - was a fair and clean victory for Floyd. Hatton's showing against Lazcano, while a victory, was sloppy. He walked into shots, had shaky balance, and ultimately didn't impress anyone.

That having been said, I also think that a fighter like Paulie Malignaggi will simply not be able to overcome Ricky Hatton. I think the most important aspect of this will be Malignaggi's lack of power. Ricky Hatton is a straightforward, rough brawler. Paulie has only managed to knock out 5 of his previous opponents, none of whom were A list fighters. Sure, some may say that Ricky isn't an A list fighter himself, but he's been tested against many A list fighters, and only one managed to put him down. And it was the "best fighter in the world".

Ricky Hatton's chin will be more than enough to manage Paulie Malignaggi's pitter patter, and while Malignaggi is slick and will likely be able to avoid Ricky's early assaults, round after round he will find that his offensive will not be enough to slow down Ricky and the pressure will make him cave. Say what you will about Hatton's recent performances, but the reality is that Ricky Hatton is not Lovemore N'dou. He's not Edner Cherry, and he's not Donald Camarena.

He's a cut above the competition that Paulie has been able to beat.

That being said he's also a notch below in Miguel Cotto's class, who Paulie managed to go the distance with. But it's the combination of the lack of authority in Paulie's hands, and Ricky's lack of polish and relative recklessness compared to Cotto that will result in Paulie getting put down.

Ricky Hatton will win by a late TKO.

    I don't know.

Paulie took Cottos shot for 12 rounds and showed grits, but every fighter/fight is different so im not going to judge this fight on that.

Hatton IMO is on the downside of his career, and Paulie will just box him all 12 rounds and come away with a decision. I don't see Hatton winning at this stage of his career.

Unimpressive in his last 2 preformances? Hatton has been uninpressive since his win over Kosta. The Urgango and Collazo fights never happened?

Paulie lacks the power to keep Ricky off and will not be able to out-box him. Ricky closes the gap as good as anyone and he will be inside working the body and head winning a clear decision or getting a late stoppage.

The Urango fight where he won 11 rounds to one? Yeah what a shocking display.

I guess Ricky has to win every round without ever getting hit to be impressive. He gets hit with 2 solid punches against Lazcano but wins every minute of the fight and he's somehow washed up.

Mayweather had brittle hands and still KO Hatton. This guy's off ring habits [drinking] have taken a toll of his body. If you head hunt him long enough he'll get dazed off that. I don't see him winning this fight, im not saying he gets KOed, im just saying I think Paulie gets a decision.

Mayweather was also the bigger fighter who happened to be the P4P#1 fighter at the time. Hatton is better and stronger at 140 than he is at 147 where he's just too small to be effective, even though he did win a title there.
