In fact, since Kostya he's only looked like the fighter he used to be for those 2 and a bit rounds against Castillo.

Against Collazo he was poor. Against Urango he was not as good as he shouldve been. Against Floyd it wasnt just that he was fighting better quality, his style of fighting was poor. Against Lazcano he was good enough, but nowhere near his old form. Hatton still has it in him to beat Paulie and to be a top ten P4P fighter at 140 (dont ever go back to 147 again). But compare him to the fighter he was before the Kostya fight and his old self would knock his new self out within 5 or 6 rounds. Its just a shame that the Americans never got to see him before the Kostya fight. He really was a different animal and it wasnt just because of competition, his style was different.
    I agree buddy !
I just hate the way hes started holding and smothering his work so much !
I hate that smash then grab style hes using nowa days!
Why has he changed to this type of fighting ?

I dont think that he's as fast, as fit or as confident as he used to be. He got into bad habits. He created the perfect tactics to defeat Kostya, but since then he seems to have adapted a bastardised version of it for subsequent fights and it simply does not suit. Dont think that he can get out of it any more. Maybe with his new trainer. I also think that it used to be part of his style that he had an incredible punch resistance. He would take anything that anyone threw and walk straight through it to create an opening. I dont know whether its because of the weight gain and loss, but as evidenced in recent fights...he cant do that anymore. So instead, he holds.

Great post, that's exactly how I feel.

The tactical side of boxing seems non existant since Kost.

May be Grahams fault, not sure, doubt it but he needs to realise the importance of gameplans and strategies and devising and implementation of them. The same hit and hold which he uses on all don't work for everyone.

I hope whoever trains him kicks his arse.

          paulie dropped ndou....
if he can do that then he can drop a more vulnerable hatton (not saying he will)
paulie said before the fight that it would be easier to knockout hatton than ndou and i agree
styles make fights, ricky is gonna have trouble against a skilled fighter like paulie with a good chin, paulie went 12 rounds with cotto...

I think a much bigger collazo is tougher than a smaller paulie, simple as that. People give hatton **** for his last performance but paulie was abysmal his last performance aswell.

Paulie said it be easier to KO Hatton then N'Dou and i do agree....but it wouldnt happen with Paulie lol.

Paulie will bring his A-game to this fight believe me and i feel he will outbox Hatton and really put on a show and take a UD.

Hatton IMO is on the downside of his career, and Paulie will just box him all 12 rounds and come away with a decision. I don't see Hatton winning at this stage of his career.
I agree with this post for the most part.....Paulie UD even if he breaks one of his brittle hands.

You drastically underestimate Hatton's boxing skills, he has great speed and will be able to push Paulie around the ring with relative ease. The strength in his hands will make this even less of a task.
