Some of his shots do look meaty, he stopped the Cuban in his tracks today with a nice right hook. Dont think he has devastating power but I think he can hit hard enough to hurt.

Degale looked great in the olympics but he needs some experience in the pros first before anything, he'll move up from Middleweight anyway, he's young and his body will fill out he'll proberbly end up as a Super Middleweight or Light Heavyweight

Do I think that DeGale, fresh from the olympics, would have a chance against a seasoned professional and the undisputed linear champion of the world? Of course not. His career as a boxer is just beginning. He needs to adjust to the pro game. He needs to take a dozen fights against steadily improving opposition including young up and comers like himself as well as season veterans. He needs to get himself a British title. He needs to learn his craft in the professional arena and see if his skills will transfer.

If he has a chin he has a shot. But he might not take to the pro game, we have to see.

I'm just tired of people seeming to take the stance that amateur boxers are wimps. It's pretty ****ing ******. Wearing headgear and scoring jabs doesn't change the fact that someone is trying to knock you out.

Oh ok sorry about that, I couldn't agree more. Even if some of these olympians don't look like they have devastating power you have to realize the kind of snap and efficiency they have in their punches this usually makes for a more effective blow than some brute force untrained shot from a body builder type, which is what some people seem to dislike about the olympians haha.

I didn't say he'd KO Pavlik moron, Pavlik would KO him easily within a round. He hasn't got the experience, I said he looked good in the olympics and would fill out to be a SMW or LHW. Pavlik would destroy him right now. I'm Indonesian not British ****face.
