Who really cares about the numbers?

I just got word today from a cousin that a guy who was at his house watching the fight, said it was one of the best fights he ever seen and was glad he didn't miss it.

It was a memorable fight that potentially brought new fans to the sport.

I don't give a **** if 3 people bought it, it was an amazing fight. Much better than Oscar vs. Floyd and that one did over 2 million.
I find sport business to be a very interesting topic. Great fights are better of course and in the end it does not matter really. I went to school for business though and have followed business of all sorts since i was a little kid. I always loved money.

It was a great fight though you are right.

That depends on how many fans watched it on the first place that is why we need PPV numbers.

          Breezy,

I think you are a good guy. But here is what I don't understand: why do you give a **** what other people give a **** about when you don't give a ****?

Somewhere on this site, there is a thread about Chris Arreola. I don't go to that thread and say 'who gives a **** about Chris Arreola?'. I don't go to that thread at all. Know why?

I don't walk into bowling alleys and start screaming about how boring bowling is. I drive right on by.

Well if you have a Sports Business background that's fine, I'm sure the numbers are something you'd be very interested in having on hand.

But the majority of the people running around asking about numbers, and using it as a basis for argument are dim little twits who are doing their best Dios impression.

I don't care about the actual numbers, what I do care about is seeing a bunch of 13 year olds running around copying everything you say and making dozens of new threads about PPV sales every week. There's a difference, do you understand the difference now?

Seems I'm not the only one who's noticed this current trend.

It's almost unbelievable how much he affects the website. Not even Bigtyme or Bozo ever got that much attention from the masses in NSB. The kids are obsessed with him.

It is certainly not my intent to negatively impact the site. What irks me is the hypocrisy and lies. I try to bring out the facts. Whether it was the overratedness of Richard Hatton, or the enduring sexiness of Helen Mirren. Even the unbelievable ear-grinding annoyance that is the Tagalog language of the Philippines. I just speak the truth.
