Aaron Pryor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. at 140

It's difficult for me to say who would win. If Mayweather was to fight the same defensive style that we've seen against Oscar De La Hoya or Carlos Baldomir, just to name a few, then I think it would probably sway the judges in Aaron Pryor's favor based on aggression. That's a big "if" though, because I think Pryor's style would force Mayweather to alter his defensive style (just like to changed against Hatton), which would make it difficult for me to say if that would help or hurt Mayweather more.Comment

How could anyone pick Pryor over Floyd? Im not taking anything away from Pryor as he was a beast but there aint no way he is going to beat Floyd while being right handed and throwing all those wide, looping punches. Floyd's D is way too good for that. Also, forget Pryor, have you ever seen Floyd fight before? This is the question I have to ask so many on this board because its like no one started watching Floyd til the Baldy fight. At the lower weights he is much more Offensivley aggressive and lets his hands go. No way Pryor beats that Floyd that was at 140. His D is not good enough. Even Alexis was out boxing him for long stretches so what is Floyd going to do? He seriously would not land any clean punches on him with his style. There too wide & loopingComment

Yeah, but with all due respect Alexis was landing more than one punch at a time and not pop shoting ala Floyd. I’m not saying this would be a clear victory for either fighter but if there were any volume puncher that would have given Floyd fits on onset it would be Pryor. How could anyone pick Pryor over Floyd? Well either Pryor wins on activity or Floyd will have to become much more offensive than he may want to...
I'll pick Floyd because I think he'll find a way to neutralize Pryor's attack but if he waits all night he's losing this fight...
Regardless I expect this to go to the cards...
I could see other man winning...especially if Pryor has the black bottle lolComment

Pryor was a frightning beast at 140.
I'd take Aaron by decision, he could take a punch and come back even crazier.Comment

Well if you read my whole post, that was one of my biggest points. You and everyone else keep talking about Floyd pot shotting because its like people only remember him since the Baldy fight. Before then he has let his hands go in 90% of his fights. At 140 he threw mad combos. Thats my point. Its like all people know about Floyd now is the pot shot guy when he's only fought that way in probably 10% of his fights. He wouldnt pot shot someone like Pryor who he doesnt fear at all size wise or physicalyYeah, but with all due respect Alexis was landing more than one punch at a time and not pop shoting ala Floyd. But at the same time he wouldn’t be ****** enough to stand in front of him so go figure. Floyd would have to do the inevitable which is to be an offensive fighter something that is not in his comfort zone due to his counterpunching preference/abilities. My point is Pryor would most likely take him out of his element/comfort zone as he did Alexis and force him to fight a different fight. Don’t get it twisted kid if you READ my post properly I don’t give any fighter emphatic victory over the other my point is Pryor is a very different animal.Well if you read my whole post, that was one of my biggest points. If Arguello can hit Pryor clean then Floyd does better. I always thought Pryor and Hagler would hav made a tough fight for FLoyd. I pick Money May in a covincing UD but he wouldnt leave without sheddding a little blood.Comment
