David Reid lasted all 12. Vargas (as skilled as he may be) lasted till the 12th without a chin. I think it'd be a very competitive fight.

Margarito is a better fighter than either one. That's not debatable to me

Tito had a better chance vs Margarito but I think his stiff style wouldnt be very effective vs Margarito.

Vargas didnt have a chin? Maybe later in his career when his weight fluxuated but when he was in his prime he had a pretty good chin.

I agree Vargas had a chin, wars like the one with Tito ruined that ****. Tito also ruined Reid and Joppy. Honestly that muthaphucka could crack like nobody's business and the only way to really beat him was not to really let him hit you (ala) OLDH. I really dig Margs and he's one of the most indomitable welters I've ever seen but the way he would be there for Tito all night and the way he cuts???!!!! I got an image of Tito pushing off with his elbow in Margs throat in a clench and then unleashing that right cross, left hook combo!!!!! He would be fuuuckkked up if he made it to the final bell... Antonio Margarito has one of the best chins I have ever seen at welterweight. Felix Trinidad hit like a wrecking ball and he took that power to 160. If these two fighters fought, they would obviously go at each other. It's conceivable that Margarito could hurt Trinidad. But as an opinion, would Trinidad stop Margarito or would Margarito walk through the punches like he did with Cotto? For the record, I favor Trinidad in this fight. But I can see some back and forth action if the fight happened.

btw, great fantasy fight post. A firefight between a prime Tito and Margs!!!!IMO, this one would be a slugfest classic!!!!! I would pay whatever...

Very hard to call with Titos chin not being the most durable.

However, he almost always did recover extremely well after a knockdown.

With that said, Tony is a pretty good finisher as well.

well, could felix have lasted 8 or more rounds throwing everything at marg and still have enough left for a late ko?????? i am not so sure.....maybe, but not sure. plus we all know tito's chin is good, but far from granite.

Well if you don't know the answer to that you know crap about Tito specially in the WW div. He threw at every round including the 12 bombs in every fight.(while they lasted).
