        I voted for British.

He was born here, lived here until he was 12, and then moved back here in his early-mid 20s. From what I understand, he considers himself British.

only for the money. he didn't start claiming he was british 'til after he turned pro.

it's like a rapper who grew up in bel air or beverly hills. when he starts rapping he's gonna say he grew up in compton or south central.

Good point. It's where you grew up that matters... Not to mention he represented Canada in the olympics...That means a lot...

i heard he hates britain and only pretends to stay there. rumor has it the british government paid him to say he was british for national pride.

he lives mostly in toronto i hear and considers himself a pure canadian of jamaican descent.

even heard he hates the queen.

                Not really,

He was forced to move there by his parents at a young age. He moved back to Britain as soon as he could...

to represent one's country is the greatest honor an athlete could do for his country.

it's obvious he's canadian and his heart belongs there.

He is whatever he considers himself to be.

In Canada: Our Century in Sport, Lewis says his heart has "always been British even though I was very proud to represent Canada in two Olympics."
