The first fight wasn't really that boring relative to other Ruiz and Valuev fights. I suggest everybody watch it again if you can. I'm taking Valuev in the rematch, but I didn't see Ruiz against McCline, so I don't know how he's been fighting since losing to Valuev.

I would like to rewatch it but the problem is that fight is not exactly easy to watch. Ruiz in a boring fight... who woulda thought?

Ruiz is a fraud, and a cheater. Hopefully Valuev will knock him cold like Tua did, and the sport will be rid of this disgrace.

Excessive holding is illegal in boxing, and faking low blows is just disgraceful. Ruiz used both tactics to "win" fights he otherwise would have lost, and his connections with King allowed him to get away with it.

Honestly... why do we want Ruiz to win? At least Valuev has a novelity factor.

A lot of people said Ruiz got ROBBED, but there's no way he won more than 7 rounds in this fight. I only gave him rounds 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11 last time I scored it. He was winning round 12 but took some hard punches in the last exchanges to lose it.

Here's the official scorecards (a bit hard to read). Basically, they pulled the typical European style of scoring even rounds, which explains their ****ed up tallies like 116-114 and 116-113. I mean what the **** kind of boxing scores are those? Two judges gave Valuev 8 rounds, which seems a bit hard to do since Ruiz won a couple of those rounds pretty damn clearly.
Ruiz has a case bu I had it for Valuev but only just.
