mijares is too skilled to get caught with those looping punches...the countering blue-print vs darch has been laid out by donaire and any skilled boxer with good lateral movement should beat darch...

I think Mirajes would be too skilled for Vic.

This fight would be fun to watch. Mijares would school Darchinyan.

If the folks at HBO were smart, they'd try to make this fight happen and televise it. We've seen too little of Mijares, one of the world's most talented boxers.

Mijares beats Darchinyan up IMO. He is far too fast and will be in and out while Darchinyan is still waving his arms around in the air shaping up. A stoppage isn't unlikely given the amount of punishment Darchinyan will take, but I think I'd favour a decision victory.

I hope they make this fight, because we'll then be one step closer to Donaire vs Mijares, which is probably the one fight I would like to see more than any other in boxing.

I voted Mijares TKO because I can just see Mijares beating him down so bad that the ref stops it. Mijares doesn't have that much power, but he stopped Kawashima, who is very tough himself, off of accumlation of punches.

Mijares will most likely beat him down for wide UD. I'm a little worried though since Mijares-Navarro was competitve and Navarro was also a southpaw like Darchinyan. Darchinyan's awkward style might cause some problems, but that's very unlikely.

Oh and Dibella, who promotes Mijares, should be smart and put this on the undercard of Taylor-Lacy. Mijares fights in August, so he should be ready for a november fight.

Mijares outclasses him to a easy UD

It would probably be a wide decision win for Mijares, but there would be a chance him winning by stoppage in a later round due to the accumulation of punches.
