True. And 57 others favor blacks and call every decision against a black fighter a robbery. There is only one Tunney, and there are 57 of the others who are just as bad.

None of it is worth a damn.

Yeah, but I don't think you can call it a robbery in this case.

        French Olympic Boxer Listine

I am no fan of France or French athletes and I usually cheer for them to lose, but Listine got ripped off. Diaz was warned at least three times himself in the last round. What, no deductions? A ref putting a fighter down by two points with 20 seconds remaining has awarded the fight to the opponent. The ref is lucky all Listine did was vent his frustration. He should have cleaned his clock.

Admittedly I didn't tune in to the fight at the beginning but what I saw was just another Olympic outrageous rip-off. U.S. boxers (some black) have been ripped in the past (recall the guy who beat a Japanese/Korean fighter around the entire ring for the entire fight and lost?). The winner contacted him and apologized.

Olympic boxing is as crooked as professional fight promoters. I don't think it's race - it's American/Euro (civilized west) vs. under-achieving, emerging (or not) countries.

The gymnastics vaulting competition was another example. A Chinese vaulter literally landed on her knees rather than her feet and scored higher than Nastia Liukin who made a nearly perfect vault. It's a chance to knock down the big guys with a little temporary position of power.

Cold War (and later) Communist judges conspired to rig competitions (caught on tape) and trade votes for their favorites in different sports. Boxing is just the most blatant at times.

Diaz was a clear winner and the deductions were fair.
