If Calzaghe or Oscar somehow lose their farewell fights

Calzaghe is as good as he's ever going to be right now. He's never been better, so don't give me that out of his prime ****. That's like saying Lewis was out of his prime at 34-36 when he was clearly at his best then. Age has little to do with your prime. If Calzaghe thought he was a good fighter 5 years ago, he would have called out at least one good fighter to prove. The fact that he didn't tells me he's never had confidence in himself. That's why he's fighting old men now.Comment

Err, it seems we have a dimension problem here. Who the hell knew who Calzaghe was back then? You make it sound like it was these guys job to go dig Calzaghe up and bring him a fight instead of Calzaghe showing his face more and getting a chance like everyone else. You just don't jump straight from Europe to HBO ppv to get a tittle shot if you aren't at least known among the best fighters...Im failing to see who Calzaghe ducked in his division?? Ottke ducked him..
Find me an interview of Jones, Toney, Hopkins or anyone talking about wanting to fight Joe in the 90's. Face it he wasnt on the $$ radar so they didnt wanna know him. Dont act like at any point in his carear Calzaghe went out of his way to duck them, they never mentioned his name to begin with.Comment
