Maybe if Bernard was 42 and fighting at Middle then Winky might of won, but I think it would have been a whole different ball game if Bernard was in his prime.

I had this fight a draw. Winky took more of the early rounds but really gassed out later in the fight. 117-111 is outrageous, Hopkins didn't win that many rounds.

I felt Hopkins won a close fight. **** was boring though with all of the damn holding. I'm never watching this fight again.

I thought it was a pretty good fight. I mean it wasn't great, but it wasn't the snore people made it out to be.

I dunno I watched that fight at least 5 times with different people. Some friends usually find reasons to wander off during the fight, but always the nonboxing fans or the pretend fans. My friend Joe who's a light heavyweight loved the fight, and my other friend sat through it twice with me. Seeing it live was the best though. I understand it's not the most entertaining fight even to some hardcore fans, but still if you enjoy seeing two of the smartest fighters matching wits and trying to impose their style and ring generalship over the other, this is a VERY good fight to see.

Yup... it was from watching Taylor-Wright that I found out that the beginning of "Bring 'Em Out" by TI was from "What More Can I Say" by Jay-Z.

Bring em out, bring em out, it's hard to yell with the barrell in your mouth.

That's pretty close to my favorite song too. Definitely the best of Jay-Z, that's for sure.

It's one of my least favorite Wright fights, and it's because of Hopkins. It's not because Hopkins is boring... it's just ****ing frustrating watching him throw his right hand and hold. Too many breaks in the action.

I think it would be a lot worse if Hopkins didn't throw in the clinch. I mean atleast they are throwing some stuff. That's why I don't mind Ricky Hatton because when he holds, he works in the clinch. Unlike John Ruiz who really doesn't and is just so slow. John Ruiz is in a whole different league with the jab and grab club.

Well that was Bernard imposin his style on Winky. If Winky were just a little better on the inside it would have been a different story, but Bernard is just too good for him. Winky is a master at controlling the distance, he walks his man down forcing him into the ropes where he can dog him and tee off just like he was doin on Taylor all night long. He also shifts his movement and will backpedal if he needs to seek a plan b. To top off his control of the ring, he has the best punch to use as the range finder. He can throw 1000 crisp accurate jabs in a fight. This was something Bernard was too old to deal with, so he resorted to inside fighting and throwing those seemingly ineffective body punches that wore down Winky over the fight. After Winky's pace slowed considerably Hopkins started throwing cleaner punches. If Winky wasn't so great at what he does, Hopkins could have approached him differently. I say Hopkins beats Winky in a UD at their primes in middleweight, but I feel that this fight would be very close as well.
