Larry Merchant is a legend. For him to be around as long as he was at HBO and to still be entertaining and insightful the whole way is remarkable. He has gone to the well each time and come back with a full bucket.

What I said in my post was that Merchant was around for a long time and was consistently interesting.

Merchant is great. He's not an elitist like Lampley or self serving like Steward and speaks what he believes is the truth. Like everyone else, he doesn't hit on 100%, but I miss him when he's not there.
