By that definition. Nothing posted here is "intellectual".

Boxing commentary is not a strictly intellectual pursuit. It's just as much a intuitive one. Whoever led you to believe opposite to that is mistaken.

Now you knew the point from the git go.

      And are you for real?

You started a whole thread defending a poster who spent months putting his bull**** bullyboy act on anybody who disagreed with him.

      Don't play yourself, "homay".

Floyd has a great chance because he's a master boxer who can wear you down by outlanding you so consistantly like he did ricky hatton. For floyd it wouldnt be one punch or one combo but a series of punches from the opening rounds on that would break an opponent; especially by landing 40+%.

Paul williams would have a chance because of his size. However i dont see it happening as cotto (i can almost guarantee) would work williams body until he broke him. at 6'2 its a mid section that cotto wouldnt stop attacking (in my opinion) this would force williams to drop his hands and i wouldnt see him getting off a solid punch (or punches) that would put him away.

Clottey i give the best chance. he works the body well, is very strong and smart. out of all 3 i see clottey being the only one who could do it mostly based on his strength and style of fighting which could give cotto problems.

You have to remember cotto took margarito's best and made it 11 rounds with him. and margarito certainly punches harder than any of these 3 fighters...shane mosley couldnt knock him out...and mosley punches harder than all 3 of these guys here...so its not like cotto has been in with only feather fisted punchers...he's taken some good shots.

After seeing the ppv against margarito i think his chin has been underrated because of how weak it was due to being weight drained at 140 (even malignaggi got him off balance at 140). He took a lot from margarito before he couldnt take it anymore and with margarito being the strongest puncher at 147 that is nothing to be ashamed of.
        good thoughts! Nicely put...

Mayweather would be able to knock Cotto out. Wear him out and hunt him just like he did to Hatton.

Cotto has a fragile chin and is to rigid, he would get hit with accurate punches and they would/could eventually stop him. People underestimate Floyd's punching power also. I'm not saying he has the hardest punch but it is hard enough to put people away.

LOL your a funny dude. I give you that. I didnt defend anyone. I was being funny and laying him to rest! He did have some good points and did cross the line. I believe most people in here have when speaking of their favorite fighter. However that is besides the point. I thought it would be some good friday humor! Sorry you didnt take it that way.
Back to the point. If you dont have anything else to say regarding the thread you are dismissed!

I did know your point. I have never really disagreed anything about FMJ except for he is not a hard puncher at WW. Jr WW yes, just not at WW and that I dont think he could knock out Cotto. Just my thoughts. I could be wrong, I am sure everyone could be. Even you! Especially if FM gets caught with a stern hook to the body!

what gives him a fragile chin? He took bombs from SSM and Marg. Getting caught square is just fighting. That doesnt mean fragile. Please explain
