If you watch Calzaghe closely you might notice that the way he punches resembles that of slaps
.....his punches have been described as "amaturish slaps" by alot of RESPECTED boxing people.....noone is sayin' that theres no power or sting there, because like you said....
noone has been able to walk through Joe! good point!
But you can't deny the fact that his two-fisted attack resembles slaps!
I respect Calzaghe's fight skills....there's no denying that he's arguably the best SMW ever, and thats a division that Roy Jones and James Tony danced in....Comment

Who the hell is Kessler? Another overrated european fighter? Beating him proved nothing. Jeff Lacy has always been a joke. He was built up to be something he can never be. Bernard Hopkins is in his 40's and fights like a scared girl. Bernard Hopkins is one of the most boring boxers to watch in boxing history (Well at least no he is) Considering that he still knocked Joe flat on his ass. When Joe fights a guy who isnt over the hill, european, or just a complete joke then people will give him credit.
By the way all european fighters are overrated. Either it be Wlad or Vitali Klitckhko or some other euro bum that gets praise for doing nothing.Comment

Hopkins fights like a scared girl? come on man....you REALLY think he FEARS those guys he has fought....if I can recall, he's called EVERYONE he's faced out! he WANTED the JT rematch....challenged Tarver.....challenged Winky......after beating Winky he then called out Joe Calzaghe on the HBO mic....now he's ready to thump with Pavlik(somebody Joe Calzaghe said NO to) Fear or Scared is not the words that describes B-Hop's fight style! boring? to the casual fan!Who the hell is Kessler? Soy hate on Mayweather retiring when his hands are ****ed as well.....?!?!?!
Look Calzaghe no doubt about it has skills. He's a solid fighter inside the ring that has the ability to work at just about the highest work rate without tiring that I have seen in quite some time. He still has the ability to move around the ring as well. Problem here in lies the fact that he just doesnt possess "Pop" anymore. He break you down as a fighter, but what happens if hes well behind on scorecards? Yes his hands are weak, he claims they always have been, maybe they have. But if that's the case which Im assuming they are, then y not come over to the MECCA of boxing, The USA, say 5-6 years ago, land some big fights, prove your dominance over the elite fighters, then call it a day around the same time as he will. Difference being, that he fought a number of elite guys, had more exposure over the long haul by coming to the US earlier in his career, and beat the best. Thats my only question Im going to have in my mind.
Bottom line is this, Jones wins this fight, then we will all have no more reason to talk about Joe Calzaghe and how great he may have been or even is. Becuase if Jones at this point in his career can beat Calzaghe, then all the elite fighters in the MW and LHW divisions should have beaten him if he came across the Sea to fight them.Comment

But the same can be said for everytime Joe wanted to fight Jones early in his career. At that point, who had Joe beaten to deserve a shot on HBO PPV with RJJR????
And if you look at the guys Jones faced off against, most of these "No" names ppl speak of were Mandatories. Lose his belts if he doesn't face them. Its a no brainer as to whqt he was going to do.
Also, Some of the lesser fighters Jones has faced faired well against tough Competition. Richard Hall fought his ass off against Michealchewski 2 times. And ppl had him ahead before the first fight was stopped.Comment
