    The great Salvador Sanchez

Man, Sanchez had it all speed, power, defence, footwork and a great chin. And to think, we didn't even get to see his prime. His fight with Azumah Nelson is something I will never forget.

Could have been one of the greatest of the greats, such a tragedy that his life and career were cut short. He could do pretty much everything in the ring.

His performance against Wilfredo Gomez is his best IMO.

I just think his career was too short, he still managed to accomplish quite a lot though. Skill wise, yes he is.

I would have loved to see a rematch between Sanchez and Nelson or the talked about fight between Sanchez and Arguello, maybe even a unification fight against Pedroza.

Yeah the Gomez performance was something special. Gomez was 32-0 with 31 KO's and certainly no mug when Sanchez pretty much just picked him apart. Chava would have gone on to be one of the best ever p4p IMO.

To think, for the rest of Nelson's career no one ever stopped him again.

What amazes me is how great of a fight that was and then going into the final round Sanchez wasn't even breathing hard.

He would have been a great fighter I think he would overtake
                    Chavez's position too..
