Dang. When he is not spouting off about his own misplaced continuation of a career he makes sense.

Steps to getting boxing back in the public eyes.
        1. Air amateur bouts regularly even if it is on cable access or late night.
        2. Weekly or at least monthly boxing televised on major network.

This could be done to some extent by changing it up a bit and addressing the horrible disconnect on judging. Get a national commission; add instant replay with max 1 or 2 minute review.

I dont think Holyfield is right at all, I feel like Demintres Andrade, Raynell Williams, and Rasheed Warren all won the fights in wich they were eliminated in. It has nothing to do with anything else then a horrible scoring system and even worse judges. Only way i see money being a factor is if the judges are ending up with a little extra more of it in their pockets for the results of fights. Since when did the china boxing team become one of the elite?

True that the scoring system sucks in ameteur. The soul is ****** right out of it. I think it is on ESPN2 they referred to it as nothing more then fencing.

Right OR wrong. He is making PERFECT cents!!!!

But holyfield is having problems with his cash flow. For one he has TOO many damn kids with mommy's that are MONEY HUNGRY..... O well, boxing is not the same as it used to be...

Maybe the sport will get so money hungry it will "CRASH" and revert back to the good ol ways of boxing.... but that's just me wishing, because in the end it all comes back to money and providing for your family.

Nope I call it the "Joe Calzaghe style" or playing "tag". Its all scored on who can physically tap the other person more to win the rounds...

Money certainly crippled Holyfield so I guess he would know.

Americans always make excuses for their failures

LACK OF TALENT crippled the US team.
