i think foreman was more heavy handed but tyson threw shorter quicker punches so i say tyson..you can see georges punches a mile away.tyson was explosive
These threads keep popping up, not sure why. I've answered this question, everybody has.
Here's the skinny:
TYSON didn't have near the power that Foreman did. It's like comparing a really pissed off cat to a ****ing rampaging bull.
The two hardest punchers in HW history were Foreman and Shavers (not necessarily in that order). If either of these guys caught you flush, you were done. There are others that somewhat compare with this type of power (Wlad Klitchko has awsome power, though maybe not quite that of these two....And a Corrie Sanders straight left was frightening in its own right), but none quite their equal I don't believe.
Tyson, while a quick, accurate puncher with plenty of power, didn't compare. His real keys to success were these:
Ability to move in quick, before his opponent could back away/cover up
Accuracy with his punches like few others
Handspeed
Combinations (he could unload a combo on target, with every punch being a stinger)
Watch some of his fights, and see how he gets inside. He was good at it. Pacman does the same thing sometimes.
