Burley was a welter and a middle he did win the "colored" ww title. To be feared in boxing is basically being a hard fight that does nothing for the bigger named guy. All the guys listed except the new guys got fights so it is hard to call any feared atleast more so then the others.

I guess the USA is to basketball what Brazil is to soccer. Teams all over the world have Brazillians playing for their national teams, so i guess it is not suprising that we have guys that can't get on team USA that decide to play for someone else. It is funny though.

I have to say Trinidad with Hearns being a close second. Trinidad's power at welterweight was downright terrifying.

Trinidad was very powerful at welterweight but Hearns was something else, he put guys to sleep.

OK, since Hearns and Margarito are the top votes right now, here are a couple of clips:

              Hearns vs. Cuevas

              Margarito vs. Lujan

I guess i will go with Ray Robinson, but this is just because i feel he is not getting enough love.

Damn you had to put up my favorite Hearns knockout too.

Everyone wanted to fight Hearns and Trinidad, so I'm not sure where that is coming from

Why are people comparing Hearns with Margarito?
Margarito has a great chin and work rate, decent power, average speed. He's not that feared, he could be outboxed by anyone with good stamina and boxing skills. Hearns was a beast, he was feared, Trinidad was ducked even by Terry Norris at jr. middle when Tito was a welter. Even Ike Quartey was ducked more than Margarito.
