id say its bull**** to be honest the only people that would realie benifit are people with little frames movin up in weights i,e roy jones its just a fact some people are naturaly more ripped and muscle bound than others you cant say becouse there ripped and have vains in arms there steriod users its totaly ignorant !!!!!

I doubt steroids are the most common drug. I reckon it's EPO. It's practically indetectable and greatly enhances your stamina and endurance in the fight and the recoveryproces between work-outs.

As for the claims by the threadstarter that you by a persons appearance can see that he's on 'roids I got only one thing to say (no offense but..) and it's:

It's funny that people look at heavyweights and think that they're all juiced up. Lightweights and featherweights are doing the same thing. They have cycles they go through on steroids and HGH that can't be detected by tests.

HGH won't show up in a urine test like steroids and recreational drugs. You need to take a blood test, and so far no commission in boxing does that.

The way forward as I see it is out-of-competion testing of all ranked fighters. To help solve the problem of detecting HGH and EPO the governing bodies could mandate a blood-pass where all the fighters blood-values are given. Any variations on those blood-levels should result in quarantine (ban or whatever the word is in english).

HGH is so rampant in the sport, it's scary. Just hang around some boxing gyms and you know the rest. Kinda scary but what can you do? It's like that in every sport - and people have been using some sort of performance enhancers since forever.
