why is it that the best threads get least replies?? when there is childish bickering in a thread it goes on forever but when you post something good it gets passed off? anyway, glad you enjoyed it and thank you to everyone who gave me green k.. even though the majority didn't.

You know I was thinking the same thing, and I just posted the exact same thought on my thread. I was really hoping your thread would take off. It's great to see so many awesome fights from a future legend in one place. Your mistake was that you didn't title this 'MARGARITA WILL KO FISHNET TEEHEEE!11112!'

Linares has gotten better and better, I've seen pretty much all his fights, he's definitely one to watch.

You think he'll be ready for Valero anytime soon? I think he's on his way.

I think he can beat Valero right now, I'm not really impressed by Valero and Linares' counterpunching and accuracy would give Valero a very tough time. Valero of course has tremendous power and I don't think Linares has the best of chins so Valero would have a punchers' chance.

Yeah that would be a very intense matchup. Too raw for it to happen now, Linares has to make his Superfeather beakthrough. Is it just me or does Valero look much more polished in his sparring videos than when he is actually defending his title?

It will definitely be interesting to see Linares at 130, it's a shame he's moving up when guys like Pacquiao, Marquez and Guzman are moving up to 135.

He probably does look more polished when in sparring sessions but then again, they are sparring sessions, it's totally different from an actual fight.

Good point. I heard that Pacquiao was supposed to spar him once, and Roach watched Linares hitting the mitts and forbid them sparring at the time. I don't know if that's true though. Linares is too young to be fighting Guzman at this point, I don't see him winning by any means at this point. Guzman is not afraid of being 'too safe' and this could even frustrate Linares and take him out of his game plan. I've never seen Linares be anything but patient, so this is hard to believe, but I'd still give him a couple years of experience before risking his confidence. But a fight with Marquez or Pacquiao would be insane. I'm afraid that Linares' reign will resemble Hopkins'. Coming up when the greats are leaving is a good way to dominate and remain unknown. The reason I mentioned Valero was because I think they'll keep both fighters unbeaten for a while and finally bring them together for a Margarito-Cotto type matchup on a slightly smaller scale.

I never heard about the Pacquiao-Linares thing but it could be true.

It is too early for him to match up against those guy but it would have been very interesting nonetheless, if Linares does become champion he would deserve more than a relatively obscure reign, like Hopkins.

I'm not sure if they can build Valero up though, the only place he can get a fight in the US is in Texas, he can't get a license to fight anywhere else. It would be pretty big in Japan though, they are both pretty well known over there.
