A ONE FIGHT deal at that.

Tony NEVER had any speed..he's ALWAYS been slow as a fedex truck and easy to hit as a punching bag.

agreed...the $8mil came with a clause that gave Top Rank 'dibs' on future PBF fights and thus the offer was declined

Mayweathers people arent ******, when he did the one off fight with goosen, the entire objective was to match the potential market value he would make if he say, DID take a fight with margarito when negotiatiing with another promoter, i do believe it because mayweather loves money.

It was a THREE FIGHT offer that a crackhead would have laughed at.

Arum took a page from Frank Warren's book and made an offer he KNEW would be turned down.

I dont fall for that Tony is so feared no one wants to fight him ,bull****. How can u have Arum as your promoter and not score big fights prior to the Cotto fight?

A few years ago Margarito would have been destroyed by that version of Cotto. The younger Margarito use to box and try to use his reach more to set up his power punches and use the ring at times. He is actually better now becuase he is consistant in his pressure, doesn't have a vulnerable body and is more devoted. I'd say hes in his peak right now.

I can't believe Floyd turned down what would have been his highest payday against a "bum" with 4 losses who would have been "easy work".

I think once he realized where he was weak in terms of handspeed and he realized that most of these guys cant hurt him, they simply revolved his training programs around relentless pressure, however its probably also why hell never excel above welter, but if all the good fights are here, then it doesnt matter much if what hes doing works.
