Dan Goossen Adds More Info on Margarito vs. Williams

There is no way that Margs will make 4 mill fighting CLOTTEY. More like 1.5. Cotto's guaranteed pay for the Margs fight was 4 mill, and Margs doesn't sell or get paid like Cotto.

But he is a warrior and a true fighter. Lets see if he opts for the perceived easier route or goes for the money!

At this point, the only top tier WW that would fight Paul are Collazo, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Mayorga. Cotto is looking at Cintron and then Margs. Margs is waiting for Shane/Mayorga winner and praying for Oscar. Clottey is hoping for Margarito. And Mayorga will be a hot commodity if he beats Shane. Shane don't want no parts of Paul, and I am a Shane fan.

margarito - Williams

While everybody is arguing about who said what, I figured that I'd post up the facts about margarito/williams........

7/14 (07) margarito CHOSE to fight williams instead of taking the bigger fight with cotto... While Williams did clearly win he did so because of work rate, rarely ever landing anything clean.... One week after the fight, margarito wanted an immediate rematch, Williams says NO.. So margarito patitions to be the mandatory..... Arum decides to move on since Williams was not interested in a rematch but rather eyeing a fight with cintron....
11/10 (07) - margarito faces golden Johnson whom he anihalates in one round
11/23 (07) cintron faces feliciano and has a tougher fight than expected and gets injured and pulls out of the Williams fight...
Williams did not offer a rematch until he found out that his formerly scheduled opponent(cintron) was now working on a deal to fight margarito with the winner getting a gauranteed shot at cotto... This is when he began talking ****. He was now being pushed to the side lines the same way that he was trying to push margarito!... But it back fired.... Of course we all know that margarito went on to punish cotto and is now rightfully declared the best WW... Margarito never ducked anyone and made his career by fighting highrisk low pay fighters!... He's finally arrived to a point in his career where he has the recognition as the best... He's doing the same thing to Williams that Williams tried to do to margarito, and watching Williams suffer means more two margarito than money.... I honestly believe that clottey has a better chance to beat Marg than Williams does, and yet Marg is taking that fight instead of Williams for less money.... Williams needs another big win to make this a super fight!!!!... But don't get it twisted, I would love to see Marg vs Williams but I'm just tired if seeing everyone hate on the man who's worked the hardest to get to the top!!!... Oh yeah and the DLH fight he's pursuing, it's not about the money, it's simply that every Mexican would like to see DLH get his ass kicked... Including Marg, but if ur not Mexican than I don't expect u to understand that!!!!

He dominated the later half of the fight and had Paul sitting on his stool after the fight was over. I give punisher all the credit in the world but even the ring magazine had the fight 114-114 a draw. His trainer even told him going into the last round that he was losing! He squeeked by Tony, never hurt the guy, and looked like he got his ass kicked. It's like saying Jermain Taylor Completely dominated Hopkins when the truth is that Bernard miscalculated and payed for it.
