Don't be ridiculous. I think you're the one that doesn't understand. Boxing is a business for the fighters first and foremost. Oscar is the best and by far the biggest business for any fighter. A fight with Oscar gives a boxer everything they could ever dream of. A massive PPV (most often) super fight that always generates incredible amounts of $ and also puts them out to an absolutely huge main-stream audience. Margarito has just beaten Cotto which was meant to give him the dream opportunity to fight Oscar. Oscar had previously said he would probably fight the winner of Cotto/Marg. When Marg won he started to call out Oscar thinking he had the right to. Previously Margarito was good friends with Oscar and sparred together. He had not been calling him out before this. It's about business and money. Nothing more.
The only reason people desperately call out Oscar is for the money. He has, and always will be as long as he fights, the biggest possible pay-day for any fighter in the sport. He can also put them out to an audience that would have previously been impossible for that fighter, which could give them a larger future audience which means bigger fights and bigger money down the line.
