    cmon everybody
gomez win was a bigger accomplishment because he was the underdog and even had a biased ref against him
mayweather just did what he was supposed to do

Yea, Leija was coming off that victory from Bojado which made me so mad because i had high expectations of Bojado. Gatti stopped i think Dorin and Leija and was coming off of a really good win streak and correctly stated, was coming off of his best comp wins in years, and looked as impressive as ever.

im not building up gatti as being some GOAT fighter but at the same time, it was because, here on this board, we expected mayweather to move and box for an easy UD12, and if Gatti caught him, hed be too strong. But mayweather stood right in front of him and beat a guy who normally, if you stand and trade with him, you are asking for it. Mayweather beat gatti at his own game. Nobody saw that coming. All of you can talk in retrospect now, but if you were a fightfan then, you had no idea the fight would turn out like that.

gomez went in as a tune up for gattti to fight chavez jr and stole the show sending gatti into retirement

A mayweather victory is written all over the place on just about any fight, including today. against any of these welters he would be a 3-1/4-1/5-1/6-1 favorite, every single beltholder from margarito, to clottey, to berto to williams. What difference does it make? Im not saying hed beat them all, but no matter what, mayweather is a favorite in any fight because of who he is and what his career says for himself despite what YOU may think, oddsmakers and people with actual money say otherwise.

hmmm mayweather was a 4 to 1 favorite
i really doubt he will be a 4 to 1 favorite to beat margarito now
or cotto before the marg fight
specially with all of floyd inactivity and the fact that this are much bigger guys than gatti not to mention theyre on another lvl and not been in brutal wars

Mayweather would be no less than a 3-1 favorite against Margarito, even with the late money on a friday evening.

ive been in a ring just recently practizing boxing and it made me realize more
that u work with what u have
i dont find mayweather speed superior to margarito ability to break down his opponent
or mayorga ability to find the timing to land that big punch
thats why i think when ur the underdog and win like gomez is better than winning when ur the favorite like mayweather no matter if u win by looking so good imo it just makes it look like a missmatch, like the when the champ ko the challenger in the 1 round
