      mayweather was a huge favorite
on the other side alfonso gomez was huge underdog and also managed to knock gatti out, he also did it with a more brutal punch
the gomez win was more impressive since gomez was actually an underdog
ridiculous. gatti didn't land 1 punch on floyd and floyd turned gatti into his punching bag and gatti was ranked top 5 at 140 at the time.

when gomez got gatti, gatti was done.

you are a joke if you think utter domination is unimpressive

we are talking about a former world champ who was made to look like a club fighter

Trinidad-Joppy was a real beatdown. Vargas-Campas, Marquez, real beatdowns. Come to think of it, Vargas had a lot of great beatdowns.
as far as statements. roy jones-griffin II is one of my all time favorite. Jones was coming of a dq loss where griffin gave jones a good fight until he was on his way out but got the dq win. Roy jones came out and landed a hook that sent grifffin flying back to the ropes. He then landed some more ok stuff until he rocked griffin with that hook towards the end of the left and sent him to the canvas then in his attempt to get up stumbles and goes flying face first onto the canvas! Considering what happened in the first fight the rematch made it that much more sweeter and impressive to me.

yeah, I think he just realized that Griffin couldn't punch so he had nothing to worry about. In the first fight what gave him issues was whenever he would go to the ropes. He didn't do that in the rematch and beat Griffin with his speed.

yeah just like the first tarver fight. Roy was on the ropes alot but he is one of the best in the history of fighting off the wropes. People see him lying on the ropes and the opponent swinging not really doing much damage, and they fail to see the clean shots he lands off the ropes. Same thing with floyd. He lays on the ropes will the opponent (ex; dlh) swings not landing nothing only to countered with perfect accuracy!

Jones is one of the best at smothering shots in close, he lets you land insignificant blows that don't accomplish anything really.

Yeah it is, Mayweather beat Gatti as bad as is possible. He's not know for his power punching and never will be but he put a beating on Gatti. I remember how Gatti was saying Floyd had never fought anyone as strong as him and how he was going to hit him all over, lol.

mayweather not KOing gatti in 3, has a lot more to do with gattis chin than mayweathers performance
