Naah. He definetely slurs. Doesn't bode well for his future, but of course that's to be expected so I'm happy that he's got a lot of cash.

To help explain Frazier, Meldrick Taylor and others start with the legendary philly gym-wars.

Oh yeah, it all starts in the gym in Philly. Gym matches used to be as big as actual marqueee matches. Wonder if it's still the same.......

not at all man. he has a heavy New Jersey-Italian accent which is probably why it might sound like he is a little pd but he isn't at all. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he'll actually deteriorate in the future but hopefully he won't. It seems a heavy price to pay just to please your fans which shows how much of a true warrior Gatti really is.

I'm no native so if you say so. Let's call it accent then. Sounds exactly like Saad Muhammad.

I just believe that everybody is different in terms of their body and how much they can take before damage sets in. Look at George Chuvalo. He took serious punishment, from Ali, Foreman and Frazier and a lot of others, yet he is still as sharp as ever. Foreman took his share of blows without effect too, especially in the second part of his career. It just depends on the person.
