In terms of the best performance, given the opponent he faced at the time, I'd say Leoanrd over Hearns or Ali over Liston in 64'. I'd be hard pressed not to go with Ali over Liston. Ali was so graceful in 64' and quick, and he beat the world beater in Sonny Liston. Not many people know, but back when Liston was absolutely dominating the Heavyweight division in the early and mid 60's, some people were saying he might be the greatest heavyweight of all-time. Ali was a 7-1 underdog, and just dominated Liston in every way. Of course, I didn't see it live, but that may be the greatest performance considering who he was going up against. Either Ali-Liston or Leonard-Hearns.
In terms of the best performance whent he fighter stepped into the ring, not really taking who he was fighting into account, I'd go with either Ali-Williams in 65', Mayweather-Corrales in 01', or Mayweather-Gatti in 05'. Thise performances were so dominating, and I have a hard time imagining anyone beating those guys on those nights.Comment

I loved joseph agbeko vs johnny perez. It was an all out war with great chins in that fight. Both competitors showed a lot of heart.
I am not a floyd fan but I do like watching him pick apart and show a lot of brilliance in the ring.Comment

This is by far the greatest display of pure boxing in the history of boxing. Dieago was an undefeated world champion. Mayweather was the underdog.I can't believe you guys didnt mention Mayweather vs Undefeated Ko artist Dieago C. Mayweather put on a boxing class that was flawless in every way. Speed, Power,Accuracy, Timing, Foot work, Defense, ring general ship, and stamina. He took a undefeated world champion killer and destroyed him.

Mayweather fought the hard-hitting, former IBF World Super featherweight champion Diego Corrales (33-0 27 KO's). Coming in to the bout, both Mayweather and Corrales were undefeated and neither fighter had touched the canvas. Mayweather was at the time, The Ring #2 ranked Super featherweight in the world and The Ring #7 pound-for-pound while Corrales was The Ring #1 ranked Super featherweight in the world and The Ring #5 pound-for-pound.
THOSE STATS COMBINED WITH THE DISPLAY OF BOXING AND THE KNOCK OUT ENDING, TRUMPS ANY OTHER FIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF BOXING!!!!Comment

Gatti v Ward trilogy for me. May not have been boxing brilliance but those fights had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Gotta love those tear ups. RIP Gatti.Comment
