Yeah Hatton puts on 30 lbs of fat, who cares? Mayweather is always in shape and still stays around 154. He is a natural Welter who doesn't put on weight after weigh ins to keep his speed.
Roy Jones always weighed around 185-190 and was in good shape when he was fighting at 175. Then over a period of 1 year he worked his way back down to 168 because that was his target and he says he could get down to 165 if he had to...now, in order to land a fight with DLH.

It's very far from a stretch to suggest that if Mayweather had the intention of making 135-140 for a fight against, let's say Manny Pacquiao, that he wouldn't be able to work his way down in weight the same way Roy Jones did.

      140. And he could destroy the whole division.

Forgetting for a minute that he will have been inactive for at least a year when he fights again.
Who said "no problem at all"? Can you read?

In fact, i said "with difficulty".

The reality is that MANY/MOST guys can do ten pounds of water weight without a major problem.

And I'm willing to make a wager here.

He could make 140 for sure. I would have to see him make 135 to believe it, it is not out of the question but i do not think it would be an easy task.

He should go back to 140 and clean out all the pretenders. He wouldn't even have to run around the ring like a coward if he could face guys like Pacquiao and Khan.
