Up and coming heavyweights still fight Evander Holyfield and would fight Mike Tyson in an instant if they could lure him out of retirement. Are you going to grandstand about how horrible that is?

For ****s sake, if Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa were to stage a home run derby during the all star break in baseball that would probably be better attended than the All-Star game itself. Danica Patrick is BY FAR the best paid IndyCar Series driver and she's very clearly somewhere around the 6-10th best driver on a 26 car circuit.

It's called marketability. Pacquiao, Pavlik, Cotto, Margarito are near/at the top of the sport in terms of competitiveness and are all fairly marketable. That said, they haven't become the biggest stars in the sport. It's just the way it is and it happens in other sports too.

What's "fair" is relative. If you put fannies in seats you're going to be compensated for it. Add the fact that Oscar OWNS a VERY SUCCESSFUL company and you see why he makes so much money. This is a capitalist country and Oscar is a very successful capitalist.
