Ultimately I think that's what's going to happen. Manny knows that Oscar needs him, as a Mora fight will be big in So Cal, but nowhere else. If Oscar wants his handpicked opponent then he'll have to live with a little less. It's not like he's going to walk away from this losing money by taking 65%. I admire Pacquaio for taking this stand. The people counting his money aren't going to be hit by a junior middleweight. He deserves to be well compenstated for being Oscar's exit opponent.Comment

this is public negotiations in action. Both guys using the media and their statements to try and get the most out of this purse but realistically who's gonna sell the majority of these tickets? Oscar and the machine he has built known as golden boy promotions. Who has the most to lose? Again I say Oscar. If he loses to PAcman intiially he will be called shot jided by many for being beaten by a much smaller opponent and psychologically he will be smashed. Always remembering his last fight as a historic loss to a guy who started out fighting midgets.
As long as DLH is able to maintain his good looks, then the $$$ will keep coming in. Why do you think he quit at the first opportunity to quit against B-HOP? 'Cause he knew B-HOP was about to bend him over backwards, and he didn't want to risk his pretty mug. A scarred up DLJoto can kiss his 30 million a fight goodbye!Comment

Yes he did an "equivalent" to high school last year at age 28. The questions were..."how equivalent was the "equivalent", what amount of the total was given to "life skills" ... and how much his stupendous popularity and well publicised "friendship" with the Phillipine President, Gloria Arroyo, and particularly her son, affected his marks ......... ............?? That's quite a group of questions.........Comment

agree... 60-40 is way bigger than 70-30, you do the math... percentage is much bigger than the actual money you'll get... its the easiest way on how to compute your money/earnings... and taxes will get more of the pie from their earnings... Pac will not get a $15M-20M net earnings... PBF, didnt get the whole $20M or so... he has to pay uncle Sam, so those politicos can use it for their campaign.... hahahaha.
... as they say, this is a business... DLH is a businessman as well as Pac... so, you just want the best deal you can get...
With the hefty shares taken off the top by both governments.......well then it looks to be a less rosy picture, and maybe an explanation as to why so many fighters have ended up destitute, or severely financially embarrassed. I've never heard that Hasim Rachman or Antonio Tarver were extravagant loonies tossing wads of money from the top floors of casinos, but they both filed for bankrupcy, in the middles of their careers.
Both Julio Cesar Chavez, Hector "Macho" Camacho, two of the greatest fighters who ever came out of Mexico and Puerto Rico respectively, were fighting to very advanced ages, just to make a living. Hector is still doing so-and winning- at age about 47.Comment

I Don't Know Why People Keep Sucking Oscar's ***** Guy Isn't Even A Champion Anymore. His Last Two Fights Were Boring As Hell. Who Cares If He Even Fights Again. He Does The Reverse Of What He Says. Like He Would Fight No Pr Fighter Cause Is Wife Is Pr. Why Was He Looking At Cotto. He Should Fight Margarito But No Cause He Is Mexican. Man F*** Dlh. I Used To Be A Big Fan. He Got Soft
